I am 50 years old and have breast cancer. I am taking Tamoxifen for a heart attack and stroke. I have been taking this medicine for four years and have been very well as far as symptoms are concerned. I am on 10mg once a day tamoxifen. I have had no side effects. I have been taking tamoxifen for almost a year. I have been diagnosed with breast cancer about 20 years ago. I have been diagnosed with breast cancer three years after the last tamoxifen treatment. I am worried that my chances of getting it improved or that the cancer could be re-started again. I am at increased risk of having breast cancer if i take more than 5 mg tamoxifen a day. I am at high risk of getting breast cancer when taking more than 5 mg tamoxifen.
